JJ Redick said the Lakers are "hopeful" that Marcus Smart and Jaxson Hayes are back in the lineup Friday vs. PHX and that LeBron James is able to play the 2nd night of the back-to-back. If LAL beats PHX and HOU loses to MIN on Friday, the Lakers will clinch the No. 4 seed.

My main criticism with JJ is not giving the young guns who may not necessarily be a win now rotation piece chances throughout the season to show they can contribute. But I certainly don’t see him as someone who plays favorites.

You know what #Lakernation this is my final point on the JJ situation and I’m done with it and moving on. The problem I see is this A lot of Laker fans have given up on the season and expected the same energy to be the same with the team. That’s all this is. So I understand why JJ went off yesterday cause he can’t quit like the fans have he has a playoff series he has to get ready to try to win. He hasn’t quit like the fans so when he says fuck the seeding I need to find 9 guys he means that’s 💩 cause he is trying to win. He can’t be like the fans and say it’s over let’s just focus on the off season. He can’t worry about what the FA market going to look like he has to try to win a fucking playoff series cause he don’t want to have another 50 win season and lose in the first round. @bray_lo23 Dumb. Thiero is injured since he was drafted. He clearly has limitations. Knecht is obviously limited as a player. Vanderbilt is a blackhole offensively and has been inconsistent defensively. And last i check Laravia and Jaxson Hayes are still young

Any young player shouldn’t wanna come to LA to play for JJ Reddick. If you aren’t a star he won’t trust you and won’t play you consistently.

Another option for the Lakers is Spencer Dinwiddie who has played for the Lakers in the past. Spencer is a solid defender and mid range scorer. Spencer like Paul and Cole Anthony and Lonzo is playoff eligible. Should the Lakers waive Kobe Bufkin and bring back Spencer Dinwiddie???

Redick is a great coach. But one thing I hate about him is he overworks his players as evident with the near 40 mins played by the starters when he could have played 10-11 rotation players
