Thought I’d do a little research on Memorial Day: As opposed to Veterans Day, which honors living veterans, Memorial Day is a time to remember those who have died while in military service. It was originally known as Decoration Day, with the tradition beginning after the Civil War. Families and communities decorated the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers and flags. In 1868, General John Logan officially designated May 30 as a day to honor those who “died in defense of their country.” At Arlington National Cemetery, thousands of people gathered to place flowers on the graves of fallen Civil War soldiers. Over time, Memorial Day expanded to honor all Americans lost in military service. The date was originally May 30 because flowers would be in bloom across the country to decorate graves. Obviously florists then were dependent on timing of blooms. But in 1971, Congress moved Memorial Day to the last Monday in May, creating the long weekend many know today. And while there’s nothing wrong with family, food, and fellowship, it’s worth remembering WHY we have this day. Because it’s never “happy” Memorial Day. So before the cookouts. Before going out on the lake. Before hitting the beach. Before summer officially begins. Pause. Reflect. Remember. Remember the names. Remember the sacrifice. Remember the families who carry an empty seat at the table. Freedom has never been free. 🇺🇸

You do know this is pretty on brand for White Chocolate… But the fact his daughter was hit five times with a ball and his other daughter was allegedly struck by something a UF fan threw in the stands, I can’t argue with his fiery response. I don’t think many parents would disagree.

I get that the Williams family believes things ended on bad terms with Mia before she transferred out of Florida But this is a surprising and frankly bad look for someone who is still a #Gators basketball legend and attends many home games Will be interesting to see the reaction Williams gets when he attends his first game this fall
