@Anniequaa I keep forgetting and then remembering that Thedas is literally (The) (D)ragon (A)ge (S)etting, which feels like the most game dev "This is just a temporary name" shit ever

I forgot how close this is, and how much of my social life I will absolutely be sacrificing in aid of Thedas.

@npcSara Also worth noting that if you've been static for less than 2 weeks, you're probably fine, and have in fact been losing mass, with your body just fluctuating enough in fluids and workout-inflammation and other things to hide it.

@npcSara If you've been on a cut for a long time, take a period at maintenance, say about 2-3 weeks, and then go back to a moderate deficit of about 500 calories below maintenance. We all hit sticking points.

I’ve hit a wall in my weight loss & get that I can’t hit the same weight I was in high school/college, but I’m pretty dang close. Already cut carbs/sugars/fried foods, & have been on a severe calorie deficit with 4-5x/week of 2.5 hour work outs but idk what else to do. Tips pls.

@finnethew Understandable to be demoralized. It's a good idea to look at portfolios of people working at the kind of company you want to work at to know where the bar is, but the age of the hyper company specialized portfolio kinda seems over

@LBundvad I got this exact advice a few days ago 🙃 they definitely have good intentions and want to help me make goals and focus on things, but like. Agh. I’m just so demoralized from these layoffs.

"Tailor your portfolio to the studio you want to work at" is no longer good advice. Not sure it ever was.

@Siireenh > with the pieces you end up making for the portfolio. They should be enjoyable, but communicate that you have the skills to do the job within your chosen discipline.

@Siireenh Honestly I think there's two things to balance when building a portfolio. "Make art you enjoy making" because if you have a portfolio full of stuff you hated to make the jobs it gets you won't be fun, and "your portfolio is for communicating ability" which is about being clever >
