@ZacharyDonnini Dalton is majority Hispanic, however this does not mean Hispanic voters. In GA, almost only 1 in 3 Latinos can vote however our bloc is fast growing as more US born children turn 18. In GA only 1% of Latinos moved right in 2024 unlike other states where numbers are 30% or close

Democrats had a strong night in majority-Hispanic Dalton, GA. I estimate Hispanic voters in Dalton shifted 50 points left from 2024 in GA-14, and Democrats also flipped a city council seat outright as the Whitfield County GOP’s endorsed replacement got just 15%.

Hardship shows what we are made of. Latinos are under attack with divisive rhetoric, physical violence and unsustained accusations. It is precisely during these times where we must show up to affirm, uplift, support and build our diverse community with pride and joy. #EstamosAqui

To be clear, they ALL had work permits and data shows that over 80% were already working and those not working were waiting for their authorizations. These are workers actively contributing to build and support businesses and corporations.
