I hope, desperately hope, that this story is not what it appears to be. That there is some mistake. We need to know more, fast. But there is a chill up my spine with the recognition that this is plausible in our current America.

Today LCHIP visited Messer Farm in New London. Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust is seeking LCHIP support to acquire and permanently protect 144 acres of farm and forestland just a stone's throw from Main St. It's a true community treasure! More here: ausbonsargent.org/sites/default/…
