@mgell1s The option to directly donate to the club has to be the channel. The frustration is the issue was caused in large part by the club. Had it not been the funds could have been used for other matters such as player recruitment.

I find it hard to endorse this with direct donations to the Unity Group given their past transgressions with accounts clarity and handling of fans’ money. Can we not do this via GoFundMe? Clearly this is an area where the club needs help, but there has to be a better way. #UTI

@mgell1s Would have to agree, never have liked donations via bank transfer, and it only takes 2 minutes to setup a GFM or similar.

@cstephen37 @mgell1s Please feel free to attend any of our committee meetings. The unity group has 12 committee members and a robust system in place to track all fundraising.

@sufc_mike I think most people who have issue with it's main issue is the fact they want cash & after how a certain individual has acted in the past people want guarantees that the cash will all go to the club. They could set up a gofundme in their name and a lot more people would donate.

Really hoping we don’t end up with a split fanbase again over fundraising. All groups, organisations and pods that help raise funds for the club are doing great things. Irrespective of options etc on individuals. We don’t have to like each other but let’s stay united please 🙏

@GazSharpy84 @moderate_iron @mgell1s We have systems in place to track incoming payments for our fundraising efforts. We also have monthly meetings with a treasure report. We will be setting up a gofund or just giving so people can donate directly to that. Further information will be released asap

@LCSEPWORTH @moderate_iron @mgell1s Thanks for the reply, Rob On the question of funds sent to the Unity Group account, what if someone forgets to, or doesn’t put the reference ‘pitch’ as stated in the club post? How can you keep an accurate total and ensure funds don’t go to the other running costs of the group?

Why does the money need to go to the unity group?

@GazSharpy84 @moderate_iron @mgell1s 100% agree. We didnt expect it to happen so quickly but we just ran with it. A crowd funder or go fund me will be set up as soon as possible . My name is rob lewis , I have been chairperson for over 10 months now. If any one has any genuine concerns my inbox is always open

@LCSEPWORTH @moderate_iron @mgell1s If the meeting was yesterday why the rush to launch today? Why not wait til all relevant fundraising options were set up to allay some of the concerns from supporters that would naturally come up.

As much as I dislike @FGRFC_Official it does seem quite petty of @SUFCOfficial to put their fans in the worst block of an otherwise empty stand??! Any reason for it??
