And if you used to be afraid to be alone, now it is scary to lose this quiet presence of God inside.  Let unnecessary conversation fall away; let the circle of communication be smaller. If it leads to Christ, then it is not a loss, but a purification. Because the Lord does not take away. He releases. And in this freed soul, a new life already begins to shine quietly, in which there are fewer words but more meaning, less noise, but more of God.

Something I don’t understand is the US insistence on Europe developing militarily again, which in itself is fair and good, but at the same time trying to make enemies of European nations. Threats over Greenland, talk of leaving NATO, and now possibly something on the Falklands. Surely you want your friends to be strong and enemies to remain weak. Why turn weak friends into strong enemies?

Is that how it works? Allies have to join every single conflict or else the alliance is over and foreign states will be given the nod to seize territory? And the UK has provided support. UK bases have been used and mine sweepers are active and the RAF has been shooting down Iranian drones. But nevertheless your position seems unhinged. If support is essential you should consult allies instead before rushing into stupid situations.

I hope the USA position re Malvinas Islands (Falklands) finally wakes up some of the UK people about just how seriously we view the UK’s fall

When Argentina 🇦🇷 captured Falkland in 1982, Thatcher's Britain 🇬🇧 sent 127 ships within two days. Last month after Iran attacked the British base in Cyprus, it took Starmer's Britain more than two weeks to send a single ship there. @JMilei, why don't you just take Malvinas? _
