Update on Austin Reaves’ contract with the Lakers: Final terms are four years, $180 million, with a player option in 2029–30, league sources tell me. Reaves agreed to a lower amount than the previously reported $185 million to help give Los Angeles more future flexibility.

@rongutterman24 Depends on how the deal is structured imo. Also depends on what their plan is with the 3 2nd round picks. It’s a gamble but they’re pushing the chips all in now. Just no damn player option please.

If I’m the Lakers, I absolutely under no circumstances trade their last remaining first round draft asset to get Jonathan Kuminga. That IMO would be the worst move of their offseason.

@LD2K @LegendOfWinning Sure that was a flaw when guys where hurt, but not as big a flaw as the perimeter defense, which is a much bigger priority for the team than back up pg, when your 2 best players can literally be PGs…

not going to lie, the more I think about it... WTF is the point of Sexton??? Why prioritize a guard over cap space, wings, or a big???

@LD2K @LegendOfWinning Grimes is right there though. I get your point but in terms of priorities a wing and a POA defender is needed more than adding another ball handler when you have Luka AR and Grimes

@LD2K @forumbluegold That’s an insane take. There is no deal worse than the Luka trade. The Jaylen Brown trade isn’t even close and will probably end up being a good trade all things considered.
