Dessie Reynolds registered his 100th start for Longford in Senior Football today. The Seán Connollys clubman now has a total of 111 appearances in Senior Football competition (100 starts + 11 subs).

NFL Division 4 final between Carlow and Longford is Sat 28th Mar at 5pm in Croker. Game will also be on TG4.

Last hurling in LD before the 1980s was in the early 1930s and then nothing really at club or county level until it was revived at the start of the 1980s with first entry into League in mid 1982 and local adult club hurling championship revived later that same year.

Cork will play their 70th season in any form of Div1 next year (record: 71 Kilkenny).
Donegal will play a 10th season in Div2 and will remove another team from the "not played" list (Westmeath).
Longford & Roscommon will play a 30th season in Div3.

LONGFORD PROMOTED!!!! An astonishing comeback in the second half and a game that saw Dylan Farrell reach (and exceed) 100 scored for Longford in Senior Football competition. An incredible finish and outcome when it all looked lost and gone. Unbelievable!!!

Dylan Farrell's two-pointer brings him to 100 scored for Longford in Senior Football competition. The St. Brigids Killashee clubman reached the milestone by scoring 6 goals, 6 two-pointers and 70 points. He is only the 28th Longford Senior footballer to do so. Congrats Dylan!

Longford take on Wicklow in the final round of NFL Division 4 this weekend, as one of 6 teams still in the running to go up. This is the 17th meeting of the sides in NFL since their first clash in their first ever game in NFL back in October 1925. LD Won 8, Lost 6, Drew 2.

Longford take on Sligo in the final round of NHL Division 4 this weekend to decide who finishes top of the table. This is the first meeting of the sides in NHL in five years, and 26th league clash overall (Longford W16, L9). The 1st meeting was in May 1982 - LD won 7-6 to 1-4.
