If you put things in context, Lisonbee's 61.5% against Blake Moore's 33.7% in convention is not the resounding victory for Lisonbee or the crippling defeat for Moore that a lot of folks are assuming it is.
Consider that in a district that until this year included portions of Salt Lake and was far less wholly red, Moore has gotten as low as 40% in convention. This means that the combined total of both the new map AND the blame placed on Moore for Prop 4 only moved the needle 7 points from Moore's previous worst showing, and that Lisonbee barely achieved the amount needed to be considered the outright victor at convention, even with how hostile the delegates were to Moore. And Moore's worst showing in a head-to-head contest in the primary was 57.6%, with his most recent dominant showing at 71% in 2024. So, carry over that seven-point shift from even his worst showing...and Moore still wins with 50.6%. And carry over that seven-point shift from his best showing, and he wins resoundingly with 64%. And that's assuming there will be an equal shift in the primary, which history suggests is not what happens. The shift is always smaller, and sometimes goes in the other direction.
Historical precedence and trends in mind and applying the results of this convention, Blake Moore is situated to win the primary at 55%.

@LDS_4_Trump Got any evidence or just like to spew bullshit? Even adjusted to population, straight white guys are much more likely to abuse their children than gay people. Fuck you and you should be ashamed to call yourself LDS you fake ass Christian.

I have gay family members who have started families, and they are the greatest parents. This rhetoric is hateful and disgusting. Trevor Lee should be shamed and the fact Utahns continue to support him disgusts me.
Trevor Lee@VoteTrevorLee
Legalizing Gay marriage made this possible. The consequences from Obergefell v. Hodges have proven to accelerate the destruction of the nuclear family, quicker than anything we’ve ever witnessed in the history of the earth.

Deseret News participated in the SPLC scam.
We knew it was a scam. We said it was a scam.
Still @Deseret amplified it. We expect a correction, apology and people fired.

This map was provided by the Southern Poverty Law Center. How many of these Utah hate groups were actually funded by SPLC? Will Deseret News investigate and do a follow-up article?

Pres. Hinckley to the young men…
“It is your primary obligation to provide for your family.
“Your wife will be fortunate indeed if she does not have to go out and compete in the marketplace. She will be twice blessed if she is able to remain at home while you become the breadwinner of the family.”
