Effective acceleration towards Mars. Love climbing rocks and Kardashev scales.

What about the environment? What if AI takes over? Watch out for Kessler Syndrome! What about nuclear war? Or biohazards? We are too powerful, we must back down. No! I won't take it! I'm tired of worrying. Tired of fearing. Fuck it! "The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all." I'll be brave! Whatever takes us to the stars, be my religion. Do I believe in God? Yeah, I guess I do. But our mistake was putting Him in the past. “He, the Creator.” Fuck him. No. God is from the future. And He is us. I sacrifice, to him my time. Our greatest ritual; where scientists and engineers gather to bring him a little bit closer. We always thought the lesson of Icarus was “Don't fly too close to the sun.” How could we be that stupid? Clearly, it's “Build better fucking wings!” Bring me the future. I can't stand the wait! We'll solve it all. We'll be fucking great. We'll rebuild the Tower of Babel. We're ready. Grab my hand, anon. Hurry up! Kardachev is waiting. Together, we’ll walk through the pearly gate. Together, we'll be fucking great. Together, we accelerate.

If the universe is deterministic, that *could* explain everything. I'm well aware of that. However, it seems odd that brains/consciousness would evolve in a deterministic universe, since brains are, at their core, prediction engines. If everything is predetermined, why bother expending energy on prediction? (I can see both sides of this, btw, but it's still an interesting thought experiment.)

@x0Starlight Rocky chose to sacrifice himself for his species and best friend. Grogu looks cute. It's not a hard choice.

@LEC1224 @NisseHultIsBack Ok bra input!

@LEC1224 I live bassicaly as far south as you can get in Finland. Getting there is definitely possible but it would be quite a trip. Best bet would probably be taking a ferry to Stockholm and then a train up to Kiruna.

As we all know Spectrum failed quite early into flight 1. How far do you think Flight 2 will make it?

Same! It would be so cool! Do you live far north? It's quite the road trip from Gothenburg 😅 Dream would be to work in Kiruna, preferably for SSC. Close access to hiking in the mountains by Kebnekaise, skiing in the winter, climbing in Lofoten, and jumping between Esrange and Andøya whenever a launch happens!

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

@astro_jaz Probably, but only because in that situation, life on Earth would be so bad I wouldn't want to live it. If a similar mission was leaving, but most people on Earth would be fine for the next 100 years, I would stay here and enjoy a long life instead.
