I am watching the @history channel’s new series, “The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen.” Episode 3 talks about Davy Crockett and the fight for “independence.” What is beyond shameful is the producers talk about the fight with Mexico and NOT ONE DAMN MENTION of WHY there was a war: SLAVERY. They mention the fight as a battle over “land” but not Mexico literally outlawing slavery. This is the kind of bullshit that passes off as fact. This ain’t history. It’s HIS story.
