@Swurv__ I struggle to think of a main quest line or guild that’s as interesting as anything seen in Oblivion. And just because Starfield is vast doesn’t make discovering the same generated outposts as interesting as a handcrafted world. And characters..I guess I’ll keep Vasco.. That’s it

I think a lot of people didn't enjoy the narrative direction of Starfield because they were used to the main character being amazing at everything like in the Elder Scrolls. Join the Dark Brotherhood? You become THE Listener. Do the main quest? You are THE Dragonborn or THE Hero of Kvatch. In Starfield. You are Starborn. A multiverse traveler of space and time who is usually just another face in the crowd, but takes action and makes decisions that make a big impact but without tons of recognition. As a Starborn, it would make sense to want to try blend in, but still try to make a difference. This a big difference in tone when it comes to being the main character in a universe. Its a lot like real life. You will be a hero to some, but never get a big trophy for it. The story of Starfield is more about the journey than the destination sometimes and this bothers some people.
