I continue to pray for his wife, @MrsErikaKirk, and their two young children because no family should ever have to endure such senseless political violence. An honor today to stand in the Oval Office with other pastors and pray for the President “for such a time as this.” He welcomed our prayers and was gracious as always, even taking time to speak personally with each of us. The Bible calls us to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1–2). Let’s continue to pray for our President and for God’s wisdom and guidance for our nation.

Our nation lost a true icon today with the passing of Coach Lou Holtz. While he ranks among the greatest college football coaches of all time, his legacy extends far beyond the gridiron. Coach Holtz was a devoted husband and father, a sought after speaker, a staunch conservative, and a man of unwavering faith. I had the great honor of meeting Coach Holtz on the campaign trail for President Trump in 2024. His humility, compassion, and love for our country were truly inspiring. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
