No one targeted Konaté with racist thoughts or intentions. People reacted to his unsportsmanlike behavior on the field, and the insults directed at him were, understandably, based on that, not racism. Frankly, Liverpool Football Club appears to be portraying itself as a victim in an effort to avoid potential sanctions from UEFA, while trying to shift attention by making accusations against Galatasaray supporters. In a match where one of our players had his arm broken and another lost a finger, how can Liverpool possibly be considered the victim?

The Frenchman received a torrent of abuse across various online platforms, the severity of which compelled his club to issue a statement condemning the attacks.
