Puzzle Club has been a great addition to the library this year. It's wonderful seeing students enjoying the library space outside of their scheduled class time. ❤️📚 #enjoyourlearning

Books and Beaches, "Lilo" hula skirts, Dogman Flip-O-Ramas, basketball trivia... oh my! What a week it was! Thank you to our student leaders: Ily, Will, Milo, & Amari. Thanks to our Community Leaders at Caldwell Library for hosting us as well as the Lifeguards at Shepard's Park!
This weeks "Lit League" was such a treat! We visited The Book Cabin in LG and played Wiffle ball with Mrs. Usher in the yard. Plus at library hours we were busy w/student led book groups, thanks to Kennedy, Lily, Clara & Emily and her Mom. Another great week to be an LG reader!
What an incredible day in the library! From cookies & cupcakes, to bracelet making, to art, to baseball cards, to bubble making, we had something for everyone. TY to our student leaders who led book groups: Lukas, Kassidy, Abby, Gracyn, Sydney, Hadlie, Ryley, Will K. & Finn S.📚
We had a wonderful launch party for our "Storytime Suitcases!" Our preschool families were excited to get their child signed-up for our new interactive book bag program.
Future Lake George students, ages 2-5 are welcome to come to school and sign-up for our program.
I absolutely l❆ve "Holiday's in the Library!" Our 2nd-4th graders repurposed books to make "pop-up" greeting cards for a loved one. So many smiling faces lit up the library this afternoon! #enjoyyourlearning
Congratulations to all the participants and winners of the 2024 Pumpkin Election, and a huge shout out to our community partners at Lake George @PriceChopper for donating this years pumpkins. #enjoyyourlearning
Our LGES students participated in our school election today. They had a tough decision to make, but all the votes are in and we can't wait to reveal the winners of our book character pumpkin contest to the students on Wednesday! #enjoyyourlearning 🎃📚🗳️
The book character pumpkins are complete, the voting booths are ready and we are all set to host our annual LGES Library pumpkin election on Monday. 🗳️ 🇺🇸 🎃 📚 How will the students ever choose?
TY to the LG @PriceChopper for donating the pumpkins! 💙 We are so grateful!
We used our community partners from The Children's Museum of Saratoga, to showcase different sources we have available to learn about the Native American's that settled in NYS. Their expertise is going to be useful in our research about Native American settlement in NYS.
This year the Counseling Dept and the Library partnered to create a monthly lunch club, "Reading Gives Me the Feels." Each month we focus on an emotion. Mrs. Crossman reads a book, Ms. Chodak helps w/ways to manage the emotion & Ss make an activity. In October we discussed FEAR.
For two weeks these 3-6th graders have spent their lunches in the library listening to The Wild Robot by Peter Brown and today they got to see the book come to life on the big screen. What a fun way to end a 2 week reading adventure! #enjoyyourlearning
I feel so lucky for all the partnerships that make our summer programs happen for our Ss. This afternoon @CrandallLibrary hosted us, and many families came in to enjoy our own library this AM. Not mention all the items that were donated & borrowed from our lending library. 📚❤️
This week's library hours were filled with donuts, books, puzzles, games and book recommendations. Then we headed off to the amazing @Caldwell Library and Shepard's Park for "Books and Beaches." #weRbetter2gether#enjoyyourlearning
