Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade☘️

Kicking off Women’s History Month with @LGSusanB as we recognize Equal Pay Day and look ahead to International Women’s Day. It’s a chance to celebrate the contributions of women across our state and recommit to expanding opportunity and equality.

Yesterday we got a visit from @govnedlamont and @lgsusanb thanking all of our crews for their hard work clearing the roads during and after the blizzards these past few weeks! We’re so grateful for our crews and to everyone who has shown their support. Thank you!! #CTDOT #Winter

⚠️ Effective at 4PM today, the emergency order prohibiting commercial vehicle travel on Connecticut roads has been lifted. Motorists are still strongly urged to avoid driving for the remainder of the day on Monday and use absolute caution if they must travel.

⚠️ The emergency order prohibiting commercial vehicles on Connecticut roads is still in effect and will remain in effect until further notice. Commercial vehicles include those such as permitted vehicles, trucks, RVs, tractor trailers, tankers, and vehicles with trailers.

Our crews have been out all night - and their work is only just beginning. Travel conditions are extremely difficult, with heavy snow and winds making visibility challenging. Stay home and stay off the roads. If you must go out, slow down, stay alert, and #DontCrowdThePlow.

We have a blizzard incoming! ❄️ Starting at 5 p.m. today, commercial travel will be limited to allow DOT crews to work on the roads. Remember: stay home, don’t roam, and if you must drive tonight into early tomorrow, don’t crowd the plow.

Connecticut executive branch state offices will be closed to the public on Monday (2/23) due to the winter storm. Level 1 state employees should report to work as scheduled or directed. Level 2 state employees should review the following announcement ⬇️ portal.ct.gov/governor/news/…
