The easiest way to choose between a toggle and a checkbox is: 1. Use a toggle if the action will be done instantly. 2. Use a checkbox if the action will happen only after additional confirmation, for example, after pressing the "save" button.

A filter icon seems a tiny choice, but it’s a real UX decision. Sliders = tweaking values Funnel = data in → less data out 3 lines = can be read as sort I’m designing an app for a 40+ audience, and the funnel turned out to be the clearest and the best metaphor. Thoughts?
