For the tenth year in a row, the Lutheran South community helped make a dream come true through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We raised over $5,000 for Harrison! It was a great night that ended in a 65-56 win over John Burroughs!

Yesterday we celebrated these two seniors who signed to continue their academic and athletic careers in college. Kirby Rassbach will play football at Concordia University Nebraska, and Kannon French will play baseball at Quincy University. Congratulations!

Congratulations also to senior Ava Toner and junior Naomi Gianomonco who both earned Honorable Mentions. The ladies' tennis team ended the season 12-4 , their best record since 2010.

Senior Elise Hoehner was voted 2nd-team All-Conference in the Metro League. Her power, consistency, and tactical in-match adjustments helped her lead the team . She finished the season with a combined singles and doubles record of 22-6.

We installed our first baptismal font. Our goal is to connect our students to a church to help them grow and maintain their Christian foundation. The baptismal font was a gift from Faith Oakville. Our first student to request a baptism this year has been attending Faith.

The Lancerettes performed in their first competition of the year! The girls placed first in Pom and second in their Mix routines, as well as second overall for their entire division. We are so proud of all the work they have been putting in. Congratulations!

Girls basketball brought home a tournament championship this weekend, beating Oakville 62-54! Congratulations to the All-Tournament Team players including, Kendra Howard, Elise Hoehner, and Sydney Pfister, who also was recognized as the Tournament MVP. Congratulations, girls!

We were thrilled to honor former band directors John and Ellen Miller at our Christmas Band Concert. The Millers put Lutheran South's band program on the map, becoming the first private school selected to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Conference in 2009!

At a swearing in ceremony yesterday with the Army National Guard, junior Jayda Sulzer became the first female to enlist and go through infantry training in the state of Missouri! Way to go, Jayda!
