@LouisiaNFT yeah thats the tough bit
i dont know who i want to be, let alone to have that responsibility for someone else
no one has it figured out, yet we look to each other for answers

Getting older sucks for a lot of reasons
However, one of the reasons that caught me off guard, is seeing the many role models of my early teens getting older
There's something unusual being the age of the adults you one day aspired to be, and those that you aspired to, have moved on, in age and in life
You exert so much effort to be 'like' one of your heroes, but that hero never really existed, its a snapshot of another human being going along their way
Impermanence creates meaning, I get that
But the sting of arriving to a place that never really existed is real, whether you understand it or not

i am not intelligent enough to understand why people do the things that they do
i will say the algorithms play an enormous part of it, it is shocking the propaganda my S/O is exposed to on instagram/tiktok compared to what we see on Twitter
most people dont want to think about this stuff, so being told what to think and calling the opposing view 'mean' or 'unfair' is enough of a threshold to go out an vote

@LH_exe Stupid question from an outsider:
Why don’t people vote against stuff like this, or the leadership that likes stuff like this?

I love living in England
If I completely ignore the news, it feels like one of the best places in the world to live and raise a family
However I would be lying if I said the current direction the UK is heading in is depressing and embarrassing
The UK has the capacity to lead, the create world changing businesses, and shape policy
To take a bold stance in the ever accelerating and changing world
Not react like a beaten dog, and tear down human liberties in order to maintain a certain agenda
I am big believer that the pendulum swings, things only get so bad before they swing the other way
The political zeitgeist starts left then turns right, and then violently turns left again
I truly hope the UK can return to sanity and we can look towards a techno-optimistic country, not an Orwellian surveillance state grinding further into national poverty with a shrinking sense of ambition and hope
Britain should not be managed into decline. It should be building, leading, protecting liberty, rewarding ambition, and choosing the future before the future is chosen for us
Right now that pathway is not visible, but it does not mean it cannot happen
I believe
