In Nursing prep this week, the patient students cared for was Alberto. A 2 month old with RSV. Skills included measuring the length, weight and head circumference. As well as how to insert an NG tube. All while donning PPE for contact and droplet isolation.

Students in the Law Enforcement & Corrections program ran 1.8 miles (2,977 meters) in honor of the 2,977 lives lost in the September 11 attacks. They also completed 24 reps or 24-second intervals of various exercises to mark the 24 years since that day.
The Lenawee TECH Center team took 2nd place in the Michigan Envirothon competition last week. They earned top three in all six categories including first place in soils and aquatic ecology, second place in forestry, energy and agriculture, and third place in wildlife ecology.
Congratulations to Cash McGill-Lara for earning his CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications! His hard work and commitment to excellence in the CIS program are paving the way for a successful career in IT. Well done, Cash!
LISD Career Prep Coordinators Katie Cole & Kim Dusseau recently presented the Elementary Explorer Welding Project at Blissfield Elementary. This project, designed by former LISD TECH Center Welding Student Leaders, is a way to introduce younger students to careers in welding.

This past weekend, students from Accounting, Computer Programming, Graphic Design, and Marketing & Entrepreneurship teamed up to take on Junior Achievement’s CEO Challenge—and they did an amazing job!
