@Eaglebauer It’s not like he’s been playing good at all. But Lee and kgc also don’t follow each other either on Instagram, which is kind of weird so maybe there’s something more to it but either way it’s pretty understandable lol

The majors will be the only events that would have a purse more than $10 million most likely if they played five DP world tour and five Asian Tour events. These guys are professionals they play for money. There isn’t a whole lot of it in the future on whatever this revised liv thing will be.

@LIVGolfBuff Disagree, especially for a player who is qualified to play some or all of the majors. Ten LIV plus 5 International series plus 5 DPWT events plus 4 majors is a full schedule. McElroy played 22 last year.

10 events with reduced purses seems like a tough sell for the stars of the league. The options to play elsewhere on off weeks are the 9/10 International Series events that (mainly in the fall) that have $5 million purses plus DP world tour events that could still fine players. Idk what type of player is going to want to stick around for that

Realistically? Not sure. Obviously firing Scott, bringing Greg back, and PIF coming back aren’t the most realistic so idk. I’m also not sure how people are as excited about a future that has reduced events, coverage that will undeniably be worse than what we have now, and star leaving. All of those things will happen, so how can anyone be overjoyed about what’s going on?

@LIVGolfBuff @TeeTimesPub Is there anything they could realistically do that would make you feel good about the future of the league?

Also sounds like there could be a restructuring to the season long points race for 2027. 5 events are expected to be held above the others, potentially with different formats, purses, or points allocations. Will bring more focus to the team golf aspect, add a layer of intrigue to the season long standings, and provide an opportunity to enhance some of the season’s best events. More details on this soon.

The #LIVGolf business plan that will be pitched to potential investors will based around a few key pillars: - An expansion of player equity. Prior to this new business plan the only players in the league that were granted equity were the team captains. This will expand and non-captains will be able to own equity in the teams. This will further strengthen the bond between the players in the league as they give those players a true interest in the league's growth. Nearly a dozen players have reportedly expressed interest in either securing or furthering investment in their team or the league as a whole, with many more making introductions to potential outside team and league investors. This internal alignment shows just how much the players believe in the model. - A 10 event schedule that capitalizes on the momentum LIV has had in many areas of the world. This this pillar boils down to trimming the fat and expanding on what's working. I would expect to see the less commercially successful events drop off the schedule (Riyadh, I'm talking about you), and for the league to lean into the most successful events like Adelaide and South Africa. These events, by all measures, were very successful and show that the demand for elite golf around the world exists and is viable. The new approach won't be limited to "How do we replicate Adelaide?", but will also be "How do we make Adelaide even bigger?" or "How do we make Adelaide even more meaningful and memorable?". Take what's been shown to be successful thus far and grow it, while planting roots that will flourish in similar, but new markets. - A strengthening of the bottom line. This is a two-pronged approach that includes increasing revenues and cutting costs. A lot of that cost cutting will come from the lessened schedule and a reduction of corporate bloat, while some may include a restructuring of existing player contracts and reduced expenses in event operations. The other prong of that two pronged approach will be expanding on the continuing trend of increased revenue. By leveraging their most successful events and looking for opportunities to expand on that model those elsewhere in the world, there will be numerous avenues in which they can increase revenues. These events are largely funded by tourism boards and global sponsors, but the success of them will also allow for LIV Golf to ask more of existing partners, including their global broadcast deals. Keep in mind, over 5 million viewers watched the Adelaide event worldwide. - Leveraging investment to build towards profitability. The $200-350 million that LIV Golf is expecting to raise isn't simply an extension of runway. These funds will be used to develop global partnerships both in and outside of the golf ecosystem. These partnerships will accomplish multiple things. The first is the most obvious, they will greatly decrease the expected time to profitability. The second is enhancing existing relationships with events around the world to provide increased playing opportunities for current and future LIV Golf players. These relationships could also begin to lay the groundwork for potential pathways into the league as well as further integration into the global golf ecosystem. Overall, the pitch to investors brings clarity in terms of path to profitability, unity in terms of belief in the product, and optimism in terms of building on what's already been established.

@JAtheRuggedMan @GBeardsley It’s not doom and gloom, it’s realistic. How can I be over the moon excited when PIF is gone and not able to fund this anymore? Even if Liv gets the money there’s gonna be star players that leave and it’s just gonna be a second rate golf tour. There’s nothing exciting about that

@LIVGolfBuff @GBeardsley Instead of always being so doom and gloom let's see what happens. It is extremely attractive for these guys to play Liv/DP/Asian. Majority this is their preference. Also they have to develop young stars eventually. A lot of pressure on Puig, Ballester and McKibbin

@DivotDoctrine They’re professionals, they play for money. Falling back on some passion project, which is what this would be, would be an irresponsible decision if their goal was to make money and be at the top of their profession

@DivotDoctrine The amount of pride they will be swallowing for trying to make it work would be commendable for any professional athlete. I find it hard to believe that they would be willing to make such little money compared to the top guys on tour

@GBeardsley It will be impossible to have the same amount of coverage that we’ve had. I don’t see any way that that’s possible to have anyshot anytime and having the amount of cameras on the course for fields that will probably have less than a $15million purse

The only way is to keep the quality of event -- purse, fan experience... If they can figure out a way to have 5 Australia and SA and then 5 UK style -- with turnout and coverage... could work.... but either way -- it's now a part time job for top players and young players will be tough to get unless it's an add on to DPWT -- a LIV/DPWT/Asian Tour membership could work for a player
