Schools across New York State were given the chance to learn how Commack is preparing students to make the best decisions for their future on Monday evening at the #NYSSBA Annual Convention and Education Expo in Manhattan, with a presentation by administration and CHS students.

North Ridge second graders had the chance to be the first to sample the primary school’s new Discovery Den on Monday. The students worked collaboratively at stations including one featuring coding, learned about green-screen technology and created their own digital art.

In a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, North Ridge unveiled a new courtyard amphitheater, constructed by Alessandra D., a 2016 graduate and current CHS junior as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Tara Milana’s second-grade class read aloud the book, “Be You!”
