Lower sampling rate ('delay' much > 1000ms), 2. get rid of LCD screen if using (we're just using LED red/yellow/green). Also, what type of battery? 9V drain very fast on Arduinos.

@akm5376 Thanks! We're working on a few data storage options. We're likely going to do SD-card based because we have challenges with IoT devices on our school's network. Lots of options for IoT, though: Wifi modules, using Particle Photon instead of Arduino, etc.
