@mstotty88 @DrDLittle @UKLabour Outsourced reports are of varying quality, and generate increased work for in house radiologists in many ways. They are not without cost.

The @UKLabour policy to double the number of CT and MRI scanners is almost entirely pointless without a plan for more radiographers to scan and more radiologists to report! Sincerely hope there is more behind this political soundbite.

Last year, CT and MRI imaging activity rose by a staggering 11% 📈
However, we’re not seeing equivalent increases in consultant numbers, specialty training places, and crucially, training capacity, which is under significant pressure.

@AvantiWestCoast the staff on the hugely delayed 1730 EUS-GLAS train are wonderful. Still smiling and making sure the passengers are OK. Treated an unwell passenger with kindness and dignity. Also @NWAmbulance who were incredibly fast in their arrival. Thank you all.

@sarajcox Weirdly, it’s when we have our annual resuscitation update at work. It’s always mid December. Someone brings mince pies. Nothing like a simulated cardiac arrest scenarios as a festive reminder 🤷♀️

Today, I and 10 consultant colleagues - on call GI bleeds, split site - received an email @NHSGGC :no renewal of parking permits and advice can pay for off-site private parking - retweet if you think @scotgov should pay for 5 years instead of paying @MathesonMichael mobile bill
