I have never seen a class so engaged and enthusiastic when it comes to English and the different spelling rules. In year 2 we were recapping how the bossy ‘e’ changed the word entirely! #acuedu_p

In health, the Year 3’s brainstormed and discussed all of the different emotions they have felt. Was such a good activity to get to know the students #acuedu_p

@maddietucker_ Some activities I’ve done with Kindy kids are: - create letters with play dough - using their focus sound, wrote down as many words they can think of (doesn’t need to be an actual word, just needs to have the right sound) - colouring in sheets (can turn into a fast finisher book)

I need some advice! What are some good literacy activities for kindy kids? Something they can do during literacy groups (so more independent) Thank you in advance! #acuedu_p

Today I worked with one of my students on their ‘ee/e/ea/ey/y’ sounds. By the end of the session, he was able to identify the correct word and put it in a sentence 🤩 #acuedu_p

During religion the students were brainstorming their ideas on the concept of ‘promises’ and how Jesus made his promise to send down the Holy Spirit. Perfect timing for Pentecost this Sunday 🔥🙏🏽🤍 #acuedu_p

Explaining to my Year 1 students that playing hopscotch is a form of exercise. They certainly loved it! #acuedu_p

After completing this test on my Year 3 students, I noticed there were a couple of misconceptions across the entire class. So afterwards, we revised and everything was back on track 🤩 #acuedu_p

Being a new teacher, I have only just realised how much we are to these kids. We’re mothers, fathers, mentors, doctors, negotiators and a lot more to them #acuedu_p

HIGHLIGHT: In history yesterday, we learnt about ways of communicating without talking. So I thought it would be a good idea to teach some sign language. The kids loved it and continued to use it throughout the day 🥹 #acuedu_p

Had a meeting with the Year 4 coordinator this morning about writing a new program for the Diverse Learning students. Cannot wait to get started and see how these students and grow and develop through these modifications 🤩😁 #acuedu_p

Was in a kindergarten class and we were creating simple sentences. They loved using this Sentence map as it allowed them to visualise it, then write it in the writing books 🤩 #acuedu_p
