🌱 O U T D O O R L E A R N I N G 🌱 So much learning happens in our continuous provision with just loose parts! Such a lovely thing to sit back and watch as they ponder, investigate and develop their ideas. 💭 How can we get the water? 💭 How can we make a see saw?

⚠️👷 MUD KITCHEN 👷‍♀️⚠️ This area in our outdoor space is constantly a hive of activity. It is full of children creating, talking, discussing and it is magical to watch their play develop! It is having a much needed upgrade and is even bigger! Here’s a little sneak peek..👀👇🏼

Mark making comes in many forms and helps a child to express themselves and develop their motor skills. It is essential for learners of all ages! From a child’s first scribble to a child’s writing, every mark tells a story. All marks matter…one mark at a time ✨🎨✍🏽

📕📚 ℍ𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕒’𝕤 𝕊𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕡𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕖 📕📚 After reading our focus book, we had a go at carrying a basket of fruit on our head like Handa and discussed how we carry our things to preschool. We enjoyed reenacting the story too! “I carry my lunch in my hands.”

What a day we have had as we celebrated and supported @BBCCiN! We decorated a HUGE Pudsey face, made porridge with Goldilocks and the bears and took part in the Joe Wicks activate challenge. Thank you for your donations! @TheHuntspills @_TPLT_

🌍🧠 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 𝓜𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓵𝓽𝓱 𝓓𝓪𝔂 🌎🧠 Today we celebrated and wore yellow to show our support. We read ‘The Colour Monster’ and discussed the various feelings we all experience. “My friend makes me feel better.” “I’m sad when my brother takes my toy.”

🍂🍏🌾 𝓐𝓾𝓽𝓾𝓶𝓷 𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓿𝓮𝓼𝓽 🍂🍎🌾 Yesterday, our Little Learners joined in with the Harvest assembly! The children all did brilliantly watching and then singing ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow!’ 🐦‍⬛ Here’s us practicing for our performance… @_TPLT_ @TheHuntspills

Following on from our interest and explorations of the apples we found in the garden, there was only one thing for it….CRUMBLE! The children prepared and chopped their apples before making their crumble in their tray. Delicious! 🤤 @_TPLT_ @TheHuntspills @EmmaB_Principal

🕷️🍁 𝓢𝓬𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓗𝓾𝓷𝓽 🍁🕷️ This morning we took a trip to our beautiful outdoor space! There was teamwork, discussions, new vocabulary learnt and a whole lot of exploring as we connected with the outdoors. “It’s a bit spiky.” “I know…the seeds are over here.”

We had a wonderful turn out for our ‘Reading Cafe SPECIAL’ based around our focus book ‘Owl Babies.’ The children were delighted to see their grown ups arrive to share stories, craft together and choose books to borrow and read at home! @TheHuntspills @EmmaB_Principal

🍂 🍃🍁 AUTUMN 🍁🍃🍂 Autumn is definitely here and we are noticing changes all around! We’ve been creative and made leaf rubbings and pumpkin printing with apples. We looked at the colour changes in the leaves and talked about the apples and how they looked and smelled.
