@OpenAcademics This is a good resource, but for the autism one I think 'clear' language is better than 'simple'. There's a risk of oversimplifying by cutting out words, which can make statements ambiguous (using technical rather than 'simple' language can be helpful in removing ambiguity).

@thetracysimone So much of my resilience in my MRes/ 1st year came from talking with my cohort and informal mentorship of more advanced students. Your position is like learning to be an astronaut by flying round the dark side of the moon - it's uniquely difficult, but you're doing great 😊

The reality of Covid is not just that it kills people in large numbers, that’s bad enough
But there are many many people with Long Covid: terrible pain, fatigue, difficulty breathing, serious organ and nerve damage: all of which are difficult to treat

@thetracysimone Give yourself at most* 10 minutes of trying to figure it out yourself before getting the technician to come and help. They're happy to help, and it makes asking for help easier in the future if you have frequent contact with them. (*it also stops you making any problems worse!)
