Crews are back on scene this morning and operating. No change in conditions. Periodic updates to follow throughout the day.

Hammonds Plains update: The fire is about four hectares in size and is 80 per cent contained. 10 volunteer/municipal firefighters are and two helicopters on scene.

Crews responded to a new fire on Shepherds Lane in Tantallon a short time ago. Sounds like they had a 150x200’ section going and spreading rapidly but crews were able to quickly get a handle on it supported by the helicopter. They are still there and will be for some time.

Farmers Dairy Ln: two HRFE crews and the PEI DNR crew are moving in to tackle it now.

Farmers Dairy Ln: fire is crowning the trees. Crews are working to stretch lines far enough to control it

Farmers Dairy Ln: Giles Dr and Farmers Dairy Ln have been evacuated. The fire has extended. Additional air support requested

#HFXTraffic: avoid the area of Gary Martin, Farmers Dairy Ln, and Hammonds Plains Rd, brush fire.

Farmers Dairy Ln: D2 has command here, crews are stretching lines for fire control.
