In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross.
In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress.
At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped.
A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him.
Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours!
The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion.
To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific.
This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine.
Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father.
Thank You, Jesus.
Nigel Farage (Reform), "it is not a big deal if the English people become a minority in their own country. Mass deportations are impossible."
Rupert Lowe (Restore Britain), "it is going to be painful, but millions will have to be deported."
The choice is obvious.
Owning a home is FAR more difficult for young men and women today than it was for my generation. That’s just a fact.
Average earnings have not kept pace with average house prices - to suggest otherwise is ignorant. The gap has grown at an astronomical rate.
The young have every right to feel pissed off, I’m angry for them.
And I detest this patronising attitude of people my age that we just happened to manage it all so much better through ‘common sense’ and fewer avocados.
There are millions of young Brits who work hard, take care of their money and dedicate themselves - and yes, they are struggling to find a proper home.
They have done nothing wrong. In fact, they’ve done everything right but the system still failed them.
I am ensuring that there is a political party to finally represent them - Restore Britain is that party.
A party that supports the aspirational and committed young British men and women.
Scrapping interest on student loans. Stripping back the power of empire-building planning bureaucrats who cruelly prevent sensible house-building in fair locations. Crushing the overbearing regulations that make building anything so very cumbersome. Overhauling leasehold rules which trap owners with mutating service charges. Ending the vindictive war on landlords to make sustainably renting a proper option. Slashing tax to hand back financial control. Entirely abolishing stamp duty for Brits.
Because we will not tinker with the status quo, we will not conserve it, we will not reform it.
We will fundamentally change how this country operates.
The model must break.
I will make you one promise.
Restore Britain will break it.
Dear Citizens of Canada,
In the near future you will face the unfortunate and extreme economic consequences of your leader, Mark Carney, choosing Communist China over USA.
Let no one claim that your friends in America failed to warn you.
It is coming because of CCP Carney.
My idea of a good time is working with amazing engineers to create incredible technology 🤩
The Tesla chip research fab will have all the machines needed to do logic, memory, packing & masks in one building for a lightning fast development cycle. Heaven 💫
If you remove pork from cafeterias, you’re not being respectful, you’re letting yourself be conquered.
If you stop having or walking dogs, you’re not being respectful, you’re letting yourselves be conquered.
If you let people block traffic and impact transit to pray, you’re not being respectful, you’re being conquered.
When you let people new to your country break your laws, and you go light on them, you’re not being respectful, you’re being conquered.
Respectful is acknowledging people’s right to eat the foods they want and practice the religion they choose and follow the traditions they want without hate or discrimination.
Forcing every one else in your society to change to accommodate their demands?
Thats being conquered.
Our societies need to stop allowing themselves to be conquered.
While they’re still able to stop it.
“‘If you import The Third World, you become The Third World!’— AND THAT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS LONG AS I AM PRESIDENT.” - President DONALD J. TRUMP 🇺🇸
Joseph of Arimathea pulled a corpse off a cross with his bare hands.
Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms.
He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet.
Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered.
They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut.
And everything you've ever done went in with Him.
Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The
lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone.
The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different.
That man was buried with Christ.
Stone sealed. Done.
Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone.
Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark.
Then the stone moved.
And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done
with the clothes he used to wear.
Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing.
Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean.
That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week.
Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him.
You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back.
The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years
ago.
Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded.
Walk out.
Maye Musk was once asked, if she could give advice to her younger self, what would it be?
“I would say if you're in an unhappy situation, get out quicker, don't think it's going to change, you have to get out. And getting out of them could mean financial loss, it could mean you lose your friends, it could be because you're moving to a new city, where you have no friends. And it still could be better that what you were in before. Accept the consequences, be responsible for yourself, but you can survive.”
What is a Canadian?
Who built this country?
English
French
Irish
Scottish
Indigenous
Metis
Eastern Europeans
Combined equals what a Canadian is. Muslims didn't build shit here, but keep acting like they played a significant role in the founding of Canada in 1867.
