@TeakSawdust @adipullenLNER @RailwayCorresp1 Photo from the Harris book. As built in LNER scumbled teak livery to match standard teak bodied carriages. The lining applied in the same position as if it had mouldings, but of course as all steel construction, the sides were flush.

First gangway now in place on 189 since around 1927 when it was withdrawn from service. Some adjusting and final fixing to do. On the interior work progressing well and is now starting to look really special. The blind covers have had gold leaf applied and now refitted.
