I see a lot of comments on here from leftists celebrating the SD9 result. I see a lot of Republicans blaming everyone from the Governor to the county party. The reality is 82% of Republicans who voted for Donald Trump didn't bother to vote. Republicans need to wake up. When you stay home during local elections and special elections, democrats win. You can't blame others for your failure to vote. It is a lie to say Republicans didn't know about it. I received probably 50 mailers and 150 texts over the last two months. Knowing about it was not the problem. Republicans are the best at complaining about what democrats do, but the worst about getting to polls to change it. The commie winning SD9 won't matter in the long run because in the November election, where turnout will be a little higher, I am confident he will lose. The Legislature won't be in session again until 2027, so the he will not get a chance to even vote on anything. However, democrats will try and use this as a sign that they are turning Texas blue. They aren't, but reality doesn't matter to them. They only have their narrative. They will however raise a lot of money. We showed in November that Texas is solidly red. But, that is not a given if our people think they can save the country by voting once every 4 years.
