I’m really enjoying #Scialog2022 (even though I am attending from my room — thank you COVID.) There are so many creative, excited, young(er than me) scientists here who are poised to ask difficult questions in neuroscience

@YuLab19 yup! 6 AM returns from the lab smell of Parisian bakeries, my sabbatical. W Phillippe & JacSue (always together in my mind) was a peak, for sure- PA = special human- humble & brilliant. The man was a font of wisdom with a wicked sense of humor.

A giant, indeed. Visited his lab when my mentor @LROLE was doing sabbatical in Paris. RIP

@Nicole_Lee_Sch My approach is to keep a sleeve of masks handy, so when they start with “oh , should I go get my mask….?” Instead of backing down , I can just say “no need, here you go - I am happy to provide” ( ok slightly passive aggressive but better than backing down completely!)

I'm engaging in a lot of encounters lately where people see me masked and ask "oh should I grab a mask?" And I know it comes from a good place, but it can be really exhausting. Why? Let's talk about access labor. 1/10
