JR was the first person to record/discover Kamo Mphela. He executive produced Jobe London hit song with Kamo. He executive produced Levels by AKA. He got AKA to start performing with a live band. Feel Good Sessions. JR was the Hip-Hop version of DJ Cleo. Great record executives!

@fkakaymo @2tukani @Gert_LeNinja @mfe2 I believe the linkage you are on about here would be the melody (which people usually pick up quickly in comparison to lyrics), you can make a new melody out of preexisting lyrics and vice versa so there won’t always be an obvious “linkage”

There is an A.I artists by the name of Credo V Daniels. He is using “Sjava” on his prompts because his A.I vocalist sounds like Sjava and you can tell ke robot.

For example, Masego uses interpolation in "my favorite tings" ; and on spotify, doesn't credit the original writers: Richard Rodgers (composer) and Oscar Hammerstein II (lyricist) / Julie Andrews...

@LRXEN @2tukani @Gert_LeNinja @mfe2 For me my understanding of interpolation is the direct linkage to the track. Interpolations are usually intentional. Listen to those two tracks and tell me if u picking up interpolation or just someone singing the same lyrics😭

Credo V Daniels claims that he only uses AI “as a tool” to polish up his vocals. But then that doesn’t explain how the lyrics on his song Ngafa are the exact same, word for word, as the lyrics on Cherry Wine by Hozier 🤔
