My son has severe Tourette’s and I’m incredibly proud that we were part of I Swear. We were invited by Tourette Scotland to be extras in the community scenes and every child you see in those scenes lives with Tourette’s. Our families have all stayed connected since.
I truly hope more people watch it. It is the most raw and honest portrayal of what life with this condition is really like. And it helps that it’s an absolutely brilliant film in its own right too.

I watched ‘I Swear’ the film about John Davidson’s life with Tourette Syndrome. It’s a brilliant film. Perhaps the film luvvies who showed their true colours and sanctimonious hypocrisy and disgraceful treatment of John Davidson at the BAFTAs should actually watch it to really understand what real tolerance and acceptance actually is.

You know what would be awesome. If at least one of these two came out and said: "We've looked in Tourettes and John Davidson and his life story and all is forgiven. He clearly meant no harm." But they won't and that says more about their character than John's.

There is a bit missing in the clip. John was returning from an interview for a job, which he thought went really badly, that was when first met that girl. He got home, was told he had actually got the job, a moment of sheer joy, his first adult job. He was sent out to get a “Chinese feast”, on his way back he was beaten to a pulp, waking in a hospital bed.
Why is this so relevant? The BAFTAs, just like gaining that job, should have been a moment of huge joy, instead his moment has been ruined by feckless ignorant idiots who care more for themselves than they do him!
