Year 3 are loving listening to @TolaOkogwu who is sharing how to write fantastic story prompts. We are celebrating National Storytelling Week all week and cannot wait to write our own stories @DaltonStMarys 📚

We had a lovely morning yesterday combining our Science topic, light, & the nativity story. We know that light travels in a straight line. This helped us share the story of Jesus by using the shadows to recreate the story. 🔦🕯️✝️ @DsmJudd @DsmDunstan @DaltonStMarys

We investigated friction this afternoon as part of our Science: Forces & Magnets topic 🧲. It was great to see the children talking about different textures that would cause friction. It's always a good lesson when the hot wheels cars come out!! 🚗 🚗 🚗 @DsmDunstan @DaltonStMary

Y3 have been working hard on progressing their artistic skills by observing botanical images and using different tones and shading techniques to create botanical sketches. It's been great to see the children use their iPads as a magnifying tool to help capture lots of detail! ✍️
