Essential. A great opportunity to learn more about Meer’s radical analysis of contemporary racism. Book early. Bring a friend. Make a crowd.

Today is another one of those days where I wonder if I can thrive in a career that relies so heavily on unpaid, extra work.

We have published a series of resource lists dedicated to Decolonising Criminology. The compilation aims to help you understand what decolonisation is, how to include it in the academic curriculum, and its link with the development of criminology. bit.ly/3RlAAv1

So much truth in this thread. Over 70 academic job applications since my PhD won 'Student of the Year' award and I have only had a part-time Post-doc, out of 'luck'. When giving advice to early career academics please remember that luck is "classed, racialised and gendered".

Very proud to have worked on this with such wonderful scholars. It’s involved a lot of work, and been a long time coming but we hoped to present an example of how to do criminology differently. Open access. Thanks BJC. academic.oup.com/bjc/advance-ar…
