While LSL helped us springboard into more IPs, our Axie Esports league struggled with finding a product owner to take it to the next chapter to match the greater Ronin Network ecosystem We’re still open to recruiting a product owner who wants to lead the IP, with equity package. Someone who we’ll support and can possibly lead LSL to being co-owned with the Axie Infinity and Ronin holders community This year, we had LSL Major Tournament in Vietnam with amazing partners GM Vietnam, Ancient 8, and Kyros Ventures x.com/LSL_GG/status/…

My ultimate goal for @LSL_GG as an IP with branding completely locked to @AxieInfinity, was to one day be able to decentralize it and have ownership go to $AXS holders I’ve been quite vocal about it this behind closed doors with SM, community, partners, sponsors. To be clear I’ve been extremely grateful for the programs set out by SM that allowed extended sustainability and their recognition of the efforts we made to grow the IP and support the scene We ran multiple S6 scenarios to make it sustainable on its own PnL—and despite LSL being profitable in total rev vs cost over 2 years—the minimum requirements to get a grant + change in sponsorship models in greater esports has made LSL unsustainable for us to run, and we’ve had to put it on cryosleep as an IP Admittedly, I’d tried reaching out to parties to get it acquired or get multiple entities to buy into LSL as a conglomerate to give it longer life for the players who keep reaching to us to continue — but this didn’t come to pass. We even baked in a 1yr ops cost for us to run it through 2024 We also made multiple attempts to find a citizen from Lunacia to become a new product owner who could become its new CEO of sorts that we’d support—but ultimately, we don’t see talent trumping the financing challenges to meet requirements —- So maybe one day LSL will come back, but if I had my way I would’ve loved to have decentralized it to be owned by $AXS holders or Ronin
