Another Prime Minister goes and a new one enters No. 10. Congratulations to Andy Burnham on his appointment. We stand ready to work constructively with the new PM to ensure the potential of devolution is unlocked to truly improve the lives of people in Wales.

Andy Burnham has said he wants to take powers “deeper down” into communities across the UK. But no decision should bypass the Senedd. Plaid Cymru stands ready to work with the new PM to ensure devolution is both respected and developed to imrpove the lives of people in Wales.

I look forward to working constructively with the new Prime Minister to improve lives in Wales. But devolution for a city is not the same as devolution for a nation. Decisions about Wales’s future must never bypass the Senedd – our national parliament.

Today, Andy Burnham will be crowned Labour’s new leader. We hope this marks the beginning of a more respectful and productive relationship between Wales and Westminster. As a champion of devolution, the King of the North must now deliver on Wales’s mandate for greater powers.

Labour have abandoned their values. By working with Reform UK to block Plaid Cymru's progressive budget, they've turned their backs on Wales' communities.

Mae Llafur newydd weithio gyda Reform UK a'r Torïaid i rwystro MILIYNAU o bunnoedd o fuddsoddiad yn y gwasanaeth iechyd, i gefnogi plant ag ADY, ac i ehangu gofal plant. Mae'n hynod siomedig eu bod nhw wedi blocio buddsoddiad ym mlaenoriaethau pobl Cymru.

Mae Llafur wedi cefnu ar eu gwerthoedd. Trwy weithio gyda Reform UK i rwystro cyllideb flaengar Plaid Cymru, maen nhw wedi troi eu cefnau ar gymunedau Cymru.

Labour just voted with Reform UK and the Tories to block MILLIONS of pounds of investment into the NHS, into supporting children with ALN, and into expanding childcare. It is beyond disappointing that they have chosen to block investment into the people of Wales' priorities.

I can’t quite believe Labour is planning to join forces with refUK on the budget vote in the Senedd. Shameful.

Plaid Cymru's supplementary budget will invest millions in the NHS, in supporting children with ALN, into childcare - the people of Wales' priorities. Wales rejected Labour in May, but that doesn’t mean Labour should reject the priorities of the people of Wales.

Let's see what Labour are walking away from here: - £145m to cut NHS waiting lists - £120m for ALN - £55m for childcare - £15m for free school meals The people of Wales may have rejected Labour in May, but that doesn't mean Labour should reject their priorities today.
Will Hayward@WillHayCardiff

Labour won't be supporting Plaid's budget today. They are calling on Plaid to withdraw it, make changes and bring it back in the summer. I understand the Greens plan to support the budget but without Labour support as well it will fail.

This is outright discrimination from Reform. It shows a stubborn ignorance of the advantages of bilingualism and multilingualism, and exposes Reform's politics as a tyranny of the majority when it comes to use of language. bylinetimes.com/2026/07/13/ref…

Mae’r newyddion am lofruddiaeth Ann Widdecombe yn erchyll. Ni ddylai unrhyw AS fyw mewn ofn a rhaid i fesurau fod yn eu lle i'w gwarchod. Mae ymgysylltu'n uniongyrchol ag etholwyr yn rhan allweddol o’n democratiaeth - rhaid i ni gydweithio i amddiffyn y gwerthoedd hyn.

The news of Ann Widdecombe’s murder is deeply shocking. No MP should live in fear of violence, and safeguards must be in place to protect them. Engaging directly with constituents is a key part of our democracy and we must work together to protect these values.

When Labour were in power in Wales, their last budget only pledged £8m towards ALN. Plaid Cymru has put £80m on the table – yet they are now threatening to join Reform and the Tories to vote against it, along with investment in our NHS, free school meals and funded childcare.
Welsh Labour@WelshLabour

What is the latest on ALN funding in Wales? Ken Skates MS explains why Welsh Labour is still fighting for fair Additional Learning Needs funding. Plaid Cymru had not put a penny of new ALN funding on the table until Welsh Labour fought for it. We won’t give up until children with ALN have the funding they need.

Profits from the Crown Estate in Wales have jumped to over £200M, but Wales' communities don't get any of it. Plaid Cymru will always fight for powers over our natural resources, so that profits from Wales' resources go into Wales' communities.
