@LSUNick413 @adplacksports It’s because other sports have catered to “fans want to see offense” football is pass happy league. Baseball is home runs. NBA is 3’s. Golfs “offense” is birdies and they feel like fans want to see more “offense”

On pace for record low scoring at Riviera, potentially by over half a stroke from last year's previous low. Yes the course is soft, but there is still so much in control of tourney organizers with pin positions & tee boxes. Super low effort to at least try to protect par under these conditions. This is not the first time the course has been soft, & as recently as 2-3 years, this was a course that ALWAYS played over par. We're down to 2/40 PGA Tour courses that we can *definitively* count on to play over par (Muirfield Village & Bay Hill) every year. Would be nice to see a little variety & see that number grow. We are just super super over-indexed right now on 17 to 25 under events in pro golf at the moment.

Imagine building a new tee box stretching a par three to 275 yards only for the best players in the world to use the member tees!
