@HikaAki Can't deny that Genshin felt like a very derivative work of BOTW but it has evolved into something all its own, and I think that is the greatest measure of success for a derivative game, becoming its own thing.
Some will live in the shadow of their main game forever.

This was striking to me when I started Genshin. I did NOT expect what I imagined to be a cheap BoTW-like to flesh out its world so admirably.
The design, the lore, the music... They all play their part, allowing Genshin to truly achieve what Tolkien calls "secondary belief".
