Hot off the press in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology! Our latest study from the Yale #InterventionalOncology Research Lab shows that combined portal and hepatic vein embolization (PVE + HVE) results in significantly greater liver regeneration than PVE alone — in both cirrhotic and noncirrhotic swine. 📈 Future liver remnant growth nearly doubled with the combined approach. 💡 Cirrhotic livers, typically slow to regenerate, responded robustly — a promising advance for surgical planning in high-risk patients.
