Following the Governor of Manipur’s communication to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Air India Express has responded positively. The airline has decided to cap fares for the Imphal–Guwahati sector at ₹6000 and will soon operate two additional daily flights — one to Guwahati and another to Kolkata. Raj Bhavan appreciates the prompt response from @MoCA_GoI and @AirIndiaX for addressing the connectivity concerns of Manipur. I have submitted a letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, urging an increase in the frequency of flights on the Imphal–Guwahati and Imphal–Kolkata routes. The limited number of flights has caused airfares to skyrocket, creating serious inconvenience for the public.

It was an honor to attend the 76th Republic Day celebrations 2025 at Kangla, graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla Ji as the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @NBirenSingh Ji, and other distinguished dignitaries.
