Another victory: we have rescued 11 children from the occupation this week We are ending the week with good news: our organization has returned 11 #Ukrainian #children from the temporarily occupied territories. The total number of children rescued by the Save Ukraine team is 384, of which 93 are orphans. The father of one of the rescued families was abducted by Russians twice from his home and brutally beaten because occupiers had found his grandfather's old camouflage during the searches. The man came back home with a broken face and numerous bruises. All this time during the occupation, the children were put under psychological pressure - the occupiers deliberately brought them out to watch the searches of their homes, tried to bribe them with sweets, and asked for the information they needed. Another family said that in their village, children were taken to school by a school bus where an armed soldier always sat. At the same time, children had to carry an original birth certificate, a warm blanket, and 500 rubles every day. In addition to the mentioned abuse, the occupiers regularly threatened families to take their children to boarding schools and hand them over for adoption to Russian families if their parents did not issue Russian documents. One mother from the families saved in this mission had to constantly hide her children, not let them go to Russian school and kindergarten. Also, the occupiers punished parents with fines for studying according to the Ukrainian program. There was a case when Russians held a referendum in an occupied city. One woman with her children had to sit quietly in her apartment, not open the door. She did not want to be a part of it. We are sincerely glad that we were able to free several more families from the shackles of the occupation and restore their freedom.
