A plastic turf field wears out after only 8ish years, each time generating a literal mountain of plastic waste.
There’s no evidence that any facility in the U.S. is recycling it at scale.
And many landfill operators won’t accept it.

@BanPlasticTurf @WestCoastTurf I’ve been saying this for years! My son plays soccer all over northern CA. Only grass fields are in Davis. Every single high school has fake turf in a state that has the best weather to grow grass!

This is outrageous.. Not a single person on my flight is masked up while we’re in the middle of a double pandemic (Covid + Hantavirus). I politely informed the flight attendant that this is a super spreader event. She just shrugged and walked away. I've already filed a formal complaint with the FAA and CDC. This is reckless and cannot stand. Masks save lives, the science is settled on that.

Rock did not die. It just stopped being something you can measure only by Top 40 radio and whatever new band happens to be on the Billboard chart. Phish just finished a 9 show run at the Sphere in Las Vegas, and that is not some tiny nostalgia act. That is a real rock band still moving people across the country because the live music is that good. There is plenty of great music left. You just have to look past the mainstream version of it.

@attendancebias Went to N7 and 8. Phish is always a good time, but id prefer seeing them at mgm in Vegas. All of the long pauses between songs was awkward, the stupid no repeats of songs was annoying. Made the sets feel disjointed.

Thrilled for everyone who got to experience #phish at the Sphere. I'm happy to appreciate it from a distance. It certainly adds a piece to the puzzle of Old Phish™️ making their calendar year a series of destination events, as opposed to a traditional series of seasonal tours.
