A graduate earning ₦120k monthly mocked his friend for becoming a welder after university because blue collar jobs are for people who failed academically. Today the same local welder reportedly charges ₦2.5M for staircase projects and some hundreds of thousands for other welding jobs, he owns 2 truck and employed 6 graduates. Why do people look down on blue collar jobs?

One thing people who are against immigration often say is that immigrants drive down wages and make it harder for workers to negotiate better pay. What they usually leave out, though, is that companies will often move wherever labor is cheapest. That’s a big reason why so many American businesses shifted manufacturing to China over the last few decades. And now that wages in China are going up, a lot of those same companies are starting to move operations to parts of Africa to cut labor costs even more. South Africans and Americans capitalists know this except those emergency patriots.

This is a warning to @inecnigeria officials. Do not risk your lives trying to rig elections for the evil, murderous, greedy, thieving, and diabolical @officialABAT and @OfficialAPCNg. Whether you are a Polling Officer, a Youth Corper, a Collation Officer, a State Electoral Commissioner or a State Collation Officer, or the Chairman of @inecnigeria for that matter, YOU ARE NOT UNTOUCHABLE. YOU ARE NOT OUT OF REACH. 2027 will be the year of reckoning for all election riggers, whether in the field or in the office. You rig, you kpai! #RigandKpai2027

Peter Obi cannot reveal all his plans to you all. For a long time, you people were asking him to declare his party while still at LP. He was mute while working behind the scene despite all the frustrations that most of us never knew about. He quietly got Kwankwaso to agree to be his VP while ensuring he was a candidate despite all APC did to stop him. By now you should know PO will move differently this election, but stealth is going to be his major weapon. Be calm. Nigeria will be OK.

A lot of people might not like this, but you can’t win in a presidential election like this, it’s impossible in a country like ours. In Oyo state, many of my guys are asking me to put them on to NDC excos, I looked for the number of the leader of NDC In oyo and sent it to them. They have been trying to reach out and the person is not even picking their calls lol. I will be supporting SEYI MAKINDE for president but as someone who gave everything to PO’s campaign in 2023, I’m sad that the same thing we complained about in 2023 will repeat and might even be worst this time around. You are contesting against a political party with structure all over the wards in the federation, real people that sits every weekend to have meetings. In 2023 as a PDP member that worked tirelessly for PO, through our ward 5 Ibadan north there was no active polling unit agent for LP, I acted as the unofficial polling unit agent for LP around all those areas. If you check the results from most of the units in ibadan north some sheets don’t even have LP agent signature, yet their results were well accounted for, that was the work we did. If PO is serious about competing in 2027, he needs to sit down and play it the way it works here, if not it’s just a waste of time. As at today there is no known structure for NDC in oyo state, this is the fact and I hope the camp don’t see this as an affront but a genuine concern from someone who really cares and believe in PO’s ideals.

The struggles of hardware You'll want to build projects for fun, but then you have responsibilities Those responsibilities take time Then you have funds to think about too If you're not a student, those funds will go to different things aside from food because you're funding every other thing yourself 😭 Sha, if you see anyone in hardware today, remember to squeeze like $1k in their hands God bless you 🥹🤧

Kwankwaso’s supporters will never ask Kwankwaso what his plans are to secure the votes, they’d just fall out with their red cap and long stick, and trek with the ballot box to the coalition centre. …that’s how it is done.

Before being Head of Design at Chocolate City at 18, I had worked 3 jobs. One as an Intern at Cregital, then at Genii Games which I did simultaneously as Creative Designer at myToddlr. At 19 built a startup called Voomsway with my current MOmsi co-founder, it was like Uber, but for long distance travel with vendors like Libra Motors and GIG.

Elon Musk once said he reads 60 books a year and nobody talks about the pattern in what he reads. Everyone knows he reads science fiction. Hitchhiker's Guide. Foundation. The Culture series. That's the fun fact that gets repeated in interviews. Nobody talks about the other stack. The one that actually built his companies. He reads the technical manuals. Not summaries of technical manuals. The actual engineering documentation that companies produce for internal use. When he started SpaceX he didn't read "Rocket Science for Beginners." He read the Soviet Union's internal propulsion engineering reports. Translated from Russian. When he started Tesla he didn't read articles about electric vehicles. He read the original research papers on lithium-ion battery chemistry. The ones written for PhD electrochemists, not journalists. When he bought Twitter he didn't hire consultants to explain the platform. He read the codebase. The actual source code. Then fired 80% of the company because he could see from the code that 80% of the work being done was unnecessary. This is the pattern: primary sources, never secondary. The original data, never someone's interpretation of the data. The actual engineering, never the summary. The real code, never the documentation about the code. Most founders read books about business written by people who write about business. Musk reads the raw material that businesses are built from. That's why he can walk into any room at SpaceX or Tesla and challenge the engineers on their own work. Not because he memorized talking points. Because he read the same papers they read. The lesson isn't "read more books." It's "read the right books." One primary source document is worth fifty blog posts about that document. One original research paper is worth a hundred tweets summarizing it. One evening reading the actual code is worth a year of meetings about the code. The information hierarchy is simple: primary sources at the top, everything else is noise. The founders who build from primary sources build things that last. The founders who build from secondary sources build things that sound good in pitch decks. Musk doesn't have better information than you. He has less filtered information. The difference is everything.

I am Igbo. There's a reason we have a strong sense of identity, family-oriented, and carry our heritage with pride. Our surnames are sacred and distinct, tracing back to our ancestral roots. It is not something you casually change with every generation. This is why when one family member is soiling the name of the family or is in trouble, it concerns the extended family or everyone in the family, because we have a name to protect. A tree does not make a forest.
