Minsk’s move to brand the European Humanities University - an accredited Belarusian university in exile in Vilnius - an “extremist organization” is outrageous. It puts students, faculty, and families at serious risk and obstructs access to independent, unbiased education. It is yet another hostile act by the Lukashenko regime against #Lithuania and the #EU. We stand ready to back the #EHU community.

Two @Armee_de_lair 🇫🇷 Rafale B launched from Šiauliai 🇱🇹 today following a @NATO Alpha Scramble. The crews identified and safely escorted a 🇷🇺 IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft flying over the southern Baltic region, along 🇱🇹 🇱🇻 🇪🇪 airspace. This was the first interception by the French detachment since the start of its Baltic Air Policing mission on April 1, taking over from @EjercitoAire 🇪🇸

#Lithuania welcomes the announcement of temporary ceasefire between #Iran and the United States. We commend efforts of #Pakistan to make it possible. On March 29, Lithuania joined NATO. It was a strategic anchor in a changing world. Even more so today. NATO membership is supported by ~90% of 🇱🇹 population. Lithuania leads by example in defense spending: >5% this year.

36 years ago, British journalist, security policy expert, and a true friend of 🇱🇹, @edwardlucas, was issued the first Lithuanian visa after the restoration of Independence in 1990. This marked one of the first steps in exercising Lithuania’s sovereignty.

Today, FM @BudrysKestutis, together with Lithuanian diplomats, joined #RunwayRun2026 at Šiauliai Air Base, marking the 22nd anniversary of 🇱🇹‘s accession to NATO.
