Honestly think as a collective Thompson is the best player that’s played against Arsenal this season. Certainly the one that’s impressed me most the one I felt most threatened with. Chelsea have a top talent there that will scarily only get better. Pace and that directness.

Between now and the event collapse of the universe, Chelsea will win the UWCL, I have no doubt. But it is incredible that despite the dominance they have held over the Women’s game in England & their near-constant presence in Europe over the last 10+ years, this keeps happening.

Chelsea Arsenal is always decided by very small margins. Chelsea could easily have won the tie with what they created. The decision to reinstall van Domselaar was brave (she made a mistake on Saturday and hasn’t been herself this season) but that dice roll won Arsenal the tie.
