I love that today’s Wordle was so bizarre that it ended up making waves on social media. For what it’s worth, I never realized that it was an actual word. I got to three greens after my fourth guess and then just randomly started plugging in letters until literally anything hit.

According to Baseball America, the SEC is expected to adopt a three-batter minimum for pitchers and a limit of two pickoffs for conference games in 2027. Pickoff limits in college baseball are long, long overdue

@Rocknes_Ghost You can’t. Those rankings don’t come out until Tuesday night which is too late to pick a team to play on Saturday. So they used one of the computer rankings the CFP considers which is the best you can do and the same as other leagues who use rankings.

@jc_bradbury The Bears one is a very interesting case because of the state line element. Most of the out of town traffic for any event there will be staying/dining in Illinois with no facility cost to state/city. However it is a dilapidated area of Indiana that badly needs a large investment.

I’d say that Pat undersells the task by merely calling it ridiculous. It’s insane. Ludicrous. Sisyphean. But this really is a pretty darn good stab at it. Remarkably solid. Perfect? That’s truly impossible, which is part of the beauty of the task. But not a bad effort at all.

@MaacTheft Interesting thought. The women’s tournament plays opening round games at the regional site they feed to. Could be due to arena availability because most men’s first round sites aren’t campus gyms but rather NBA/NHL arenas where they have to work around other events.

Ive been to first four games at Dayton. They're a blast and the city does a great job adopting the event as its own. So dont want to take this away from them. But if a third of the field is going to be in these games, then why they dont just have them at the 1st round sites?
