Thank you @cityoflondon for hosting the Anglo-Luxembourg financial services dialogue in London. Industry representatives discussed priorities, EU-UK relations, stablecoins and regulation. In a time of global change, dialogue between leading financial centres is essential.

The FCDO and Benelux Embassies in London marked LGBT+ History Month with an event bringing together senior and early-career diplomats and over 100 guests. Amb. Friden took part in the panel, sharing reflections on inclusion and the evolution of the diplomatic service.

Pleased to host an event together with Miami University Ohio and the Luxembourg-based Miami University Dolibois European Center (MUDEC), welcoming students, faculty members, and alumni. Guests engaged in a Q&A on diplomacy with Ambassador Georges Friden and former Ambassador Carlo Krieger. The Embassy remains committed to supporting study-abroad experiences that foster students’ curiosity and engagement with diplomacy, drawing on the ambassadors’ professional experience. Ambassador Friden was delighted to visit Durham University College Boat Club last week, to take part in a Boat Naming Ceremony in honour of HRH Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg. The Grand Duke is an alumnus of University College, where he studied politics and history.
